WELCOME FROM THE EMC+SIPI 2024 GENERAL CHAIR

Greetings to all!

It was wonderful seeing so many of you in person during the Grand Rapids Symposium.  As we now move forward on the plans for next year’s event in Phoenix, Arizona, the IEEE EMC Society is looking forward to having you join us from August 5 to August 9, 2024. Phoenix, the Symposium host city, has exploded to become the 5th largest city and fastest-growing city of the last decade according to the U.S. Census Bureau.  A wide variety of business sectors are located in Phoenix, including Aviation and Aerospace, Advanced Business Services, Bioscience and Healthcare, and Advanced Manufacturing, to mention a few.

We want to continue the momentum we saw in Grand Rapids and strive to do even better at the Phoenix Symposium to deliver a premium experience for the attendees. The strong Symposium committee that has been formed for Phoenix is looking forward to having you there and showcase the vast technical and educational content that will benefit our membership.

The Symposium will feature technical sessions, interactive workshops/tutorials, standards sessions, experiments and demonstrations, technical exhibition, as well as social events that provide valuable opportunities to network and build upon the success from this year’s event. To continue what was done in Grand Rapids, the Phoenix Symposium will expand the “Exemplary Paper Session” with speakers from other technical IEEE Societies, such as the Vehicular Technology Society, the Antennas and Propagation Society, as well as the Microwave Theory and Technology Society, in delivering presentations on key papers in their respective areas that involve EMC challenges and solutions.

The committee is working closely with the technical exhibition participants to provide you with an opportunity to learn how their solutions can help you with your work and research, as they are our key partners.

We will have many opportunities to participate in Standards Committee meetings to inform you of pending changes to standards or any updates that may affect your products and/or services. Standards Week – Be sure to check the program and look for an ‘S’ which is a marking provided for any meetings, technical presentations, etc. that have a Standards focus.

Be sure to check this website often for updates, or better yet, sign up for our newsletters now to get regular updates sent to your inbox.  We are working on making 2024 a wonderful Symposium to attend.

We look forward to seeing you in Phoenix!  If you have any questions, please contact us at emcs-symposiuminfo@ieee.org
