- DMAS Introduces Modular Walkway RF Absorbers to Provide Safe and Easy Setup for Anechoic Chambers
Dutch Microwave Absorber Solutions (DMAS) has introduced walkway absorbers to provide safe and easy test setup for test engineers in full anechoic chambers with floor absorber coverage, enabling precise and accurate antenna pattern measurement, antenna test range, and radar cross section measurements in various applications. The company is offering two products: WWA-MT25 model and WWA-MT45-JT model.
The walkway absorbers are developed using reinforced fiberglass epoxy grid panels that offer excellent support with minimal RF scattering. Naturally, there is a degradation of performance when using anything other than RF absorbing materials in the test chamber, though this is mitigated in walkway absorbers through clever RF characteristics and careful placement in non-critical chamber areas.
These absorbers have a modular design that not only provides an easy test setup but also enables easy replacement when damaged, making it simple for engineers to focus more on the testing operation. They are non-hygroscopic, which means that they are resistant to humidity, thereby offering a robust design. To further improve their stability, DMAS has integrated a locking feature to inter-lock several walkway absorbers with each other.
Both the walkway absorber models are available in dimensions that measure 1186 x 577 x 25 mm. DMAS walkway absorbers are also compliant with both REACH and RoHS standards. They are sent as an easy assembly kit for reduced volume during shipping.
