Join us as an Antenna Electromagnetic Engineer at our Farnborough site, where you will have the opportunity to work with cutting-edge technology in partnership with some of the most brilliant minds.<\/p>\n<p><strong>The Role <\/strong>As an Antenna Electromagnetic Engineer, you will play a key role in developing and modelling antennas and electromagnetic systems that support both defence and commercial applications, helping to advance innovative technologies and programmes.<\/p>\n<p>Day-to-day, youll be part of the Electromagnetics Group within the Advanced Materials and Devices team, supporting technical leads, managing your own workload, running work packages, and contributing to ongoing projects across QinetiQs defence and commercial portfolios. You will work autonomously day-to-day, while also being an active member of the team.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Your Responsibilities Will Include <\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n<ul class=\"ab5b415e _43ba480a\">\n<li>Development of novel antennas and related systems for civil and defence applications<\/li>\n<li>Electromagnetic (EM) modelling of complex EM interactions on internal and external programmes<\/li>\n<li>Providing advice to internal and external customers on EM modelling and design<\/li>\n<li>Supporting the delivery of key programmes relating to antennas, communications, and sensing systems<\/li>\n<li>Participating in bid development and contributing to technical proposals<\/li>\n<li>Working across QinetiQ to deliver holistic solutions<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p class=\"f44a3832 _5dd8419e _5a1db1b3 _90ce17e2 _010ec096 _5331e2e8 fc34027e _53f57f34 _88a2d101\"><span class=\"b98df014 f194b381\" data-testid=\"expandable-text-box\"><strong>Essential Experience Of The Antenna Electromagnetic Engineer <\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n<ul class=\"ab5b415e _43ba480a\">\n<li>Experience with metal materials and antenna functionality, ideally with practical RF experience<\/li>\n<li>Proficiency in CST software \/ HFSS for modelling and simulation of antennas<\/li>\n<li>Experience with PCB or circuit board integration into platforms<\/li>\n<li>Ability to manage individual workloads and support senior team members<\/li>\n<li>Ability to work both autonomously and as part of a collaborative team<\/li>\n<li>Previous grounds or technical maintenance experience is beneficial but not essential<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p class=\"f44a3832 _5dd8419e _5a1db1b3 _90ce17e2 _010ec096 _5331e2e8 fc34027e _53f57f34 _88a2d101\"><span class=\"b98df014 f194b381\" data-testid=\"expandable-text-box\"><strong>Essential Qualifications For The Antenna Electromagnetic Engineer <\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n<ul class=\"ab5b415e _43ba480a\">\n<li>Degree in Physics, Electrical Engineering, or a related technical field<\/li>\n<li>Knowledge of contemporary antenna theory<\/li>\n<li>Understanding of electromagnetic metamaterials and modelling<\/li>\n<li>Awareness of EM measurement techniques<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p class=\"f44a3832 _5dd8419e _5a1db1b3 _90ce17e2 _010ec096 _5331e2e8 fc34027e _53f57f34 _88a2d101\"><span class=\"b98df014 f194b381\" data-testid=\"expandable-text-box\">We value difference and we dont have a fixed idea when it comes to background or education, provided you can show the required level of experience and willingness to learn then we would like to hear from you.<\/p>\n<p>This role is full-time per week based at Farnborough.
