Here you can start your journey! <\/strong><strong>Key Information <\/strong><strong>Job title: <\/strong>Engineer \u2013 EMC (Electromagnetic Compatibility)<\/p>\n<p><strong>Salary: <\/strong>Circa \u00a358,300<\/p>\n<p><strong>Grade: <\/strong>Band 3<\/p>\n<p><strong>Contract type: <\/strong>TfL Permanent<\/p>\n<p><strong>Reference: <\/strong>SF2923<\/p>\n<p><strong>Contract details: <\/strong>Full time<\/p>\n<p><strong>Location: <\/strong>5 Endeavour Square, Stratford\/ Hybrid<\/p>\n<p><strong>Application closing date: <\/strong>Monday 22nd December @ 23:59<\/p>\n<p><strong>Role Overview <\/strong>Transport for London (TfL) is looking for an Electromagnetic Compatibility (EMC) Engineer to join our Systems Performance &amp; Integration team to help shape the future of TfL\u2019s assets and infrastructure across a diverse portfolio of projects and modes of transportation.<\/p>\n<p>Supporting other EMC Engineers to deliver valuable engineering solutions to our clients and stakeholders, you will provide technical guidance, check &amp; challenge designs against relevant TfL, British and International standards, engage with suppliers and stakeholders to manage EMC requirements, and support the mitigation and management of EMC risks. Working alongside our team of Engineers, you will help to create a culture of continuous improvement through the identification of best practice, innovation, whole life cost optimisation, and effective root cause analysis.<\/p>\n<p>As a highly motivated and adaptable engineer, you will have experience of applying your EMC knowledge, skills, and experience across the project lifecycle: feasibility, concept design, detailed design, installation, commissioning, operation, and maintenance. You will be degree qualified (or equivalent) and hold domain knowledge that is relevant to TfL transportation modes. You will have the ability to build effective working relationships at all levels of the organisation, present ideas succinctly to both engineers and non-engineering stakeholders; and represent TfL\u2019s interests with external parties.<\/p>\n<p>It is equally important that you bring a passion for innovation and sustainability to help us to support London&#8217;s transport needs and achieve our vision of being the strong, green heartbeat of London.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Skills, Knowledge, And Experience <\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n<ul class=\"_48f30b6a _8e3f6c3d\">\n<li>Proven experience working in EMC or EMC Related role (essential)<\/li>\n<li>Degree qualified in Electrical\/Electronic Engineering, Physics or other related disciplines (essential)<\/li>\n<li>Experience of producing EMC Assurance documentation such as Management\/Control Plans, EMC Risk Analysis, EMC Technical Files, and undertaking EMC Design Reviews (essential)<\/li>\n<li>Experience of capturing EMC requirements and developing EMC scope of works for small and large-scale projects (essential)<\/li>\n<li>Good Understanding of EMC and associated Legislative and Standards\u2019 framework in the UK (essential)<\/li>\n<li>Some experience of applying modelling and simulation techniques for analysing EMC issues (desirable)<\/li>\n<li>Good understanding of EMC Testing procedures; experience of EMC Testing and use of test equipment (desirable)<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p class=\"_770d8f2b cd2b844a _83331206 dae79a36 _725bf06e d0ee6e87 _770a94fc _1e608f38 _241da3f9\"><span class=\"a7aa29a9 c68706fb\" data-testid=\"expandable-text-box\"><strong>Application Process <\/strong>Please apply using your CV and answering the screening questions provided.<\/p>\n<p>Please think carefully about the skills, knowledge and experience in the advert and cover this in your CV. <strong>PDF format preferred and do not include any photographs or images <\/strong><strong>Please note due the holiday period the next stage in the process will be early 2026. <\/strong><strong>Equality, diversity and inclusion <\/strong>We are committed to equality, diversity and inclusion.
