fb686530 fef07fdc bac698b6\">About the job<\/h2>\n<\/div>\n<p>Renishaw has a new EMC laboratory and is seeking an experienced EMC test engineer to conduct and support testing of its range of Industrial Metrology and manufacturing products.<\/p>\n<p>This role requires an experienced EMC engineer who is looking for an exciting and varied role that includes the challenge of ensuring Renishaw\u2019s products remain compliant with global EMC requirements.<\/p>\n<p>The role reports to the EMC Lab Manager and requires the role holder to maintain and develop their EMC knowledge as a subject matter expert, providing guidance on EMC matters to product development teams for Renishaw\u2019s products.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Key responsibilities<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul class=\"_3c54fa00 _2c318933\">\n<li>Manage testing including operation of test equipment and ensuring calibration in accordance with Regulatory Standards and Renishaw\u2019s quality management system.<\/li>\n<li>Conduct emissions and immunity testing in accordance with applicable requirements and to train others to do this where needed.<\/li>\n<li>Maintain knowledge of technical requirements and assist the EMC Lab Manager in providing technical leadership for the EMC lab and the company.<\/li>\n<li>Support Renishaw\u2019s design teams during product development phases, providing EMC design guidance, helping identify causes of noncompliance and proposing implementable, practical and efficient solutions.<\/li>\n<li>Check technical records, perform data analysis, review, and prepare laboratory reports.<\/li>\n<li>Create client deliverables in the form of test reports, and certification reports.<\/li>\n<li>Assist the Lab Manager with routine lab operation, maintenance, calibration, qualification, and troubleshooting of EMC laboratory equipment and instruments.<\/li>\n<li>Support the EMC Lab Manager in managing operations within the EMC development testing lab.<\/li>\n<li>Assist the EMC Lab Manager to develop, draft, review, and validate test methods, laboratory procedures, and other department-level operating procedures and quality documents.<\/li>\n<li>Take part in investigation of, response to, and follow-up of customer inquiries and complaints.<\/li>\n<li>Control of test samples including their logging, pre-treatment, preparation, testing, and other associated tasks.<\/li>\n<li>Conduct multiple projects within tight deadlines.<\/li>\n<li>Collaborate and interface with clients, taking and acting on feedback.<\/li>\n<li>Maintain awareness of best practice.<\/li>\n<li>Adhere to internal standards, policies, and procedures.<\/li>\n<li>Perform other related duties and assignments as required.<\/li>\n<li>Represent Renishaw at EMCTLA and other for technical forums.<\/li>\n<li>Assist EMC Lab Manager to manage the EMC Lab calendar and workload.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>Key requirements<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul class=\"_3c54fa00 _2c318933\">\n<li>Ideally educated to HND level or higher in an Engineering related discipline<\/li>\n<li>Deep understanding and experience in EMC testing<\/li>\n<li>Awareness and understanding of current best practice in testing and reporting against EN\/IEC\/FCC\/ICES\/ANSI and other standards, including those relating to at least one of the following: Machinery, Medical Devices, Household Appliances products and ITE.<\/li>\n<li>Experience of Radio testing would be desirable but is not essential.<\/li>\n<li>An interest, or previous experience in implementing or adopting new technologies to enable EMC testing and reporting outputs to be efficiently delivered is highly
