Our Embedded Systems Solutions department (ESS) encompasses all activities outlined under the Automotive SPICE (ASPICE) process framework, including systems engineering, software engineering, coding, and all levels of functional testing. Beyond core development, ESS also integrates critical supporting processes such as project management, risk assessment, functional safety, and cybersecurity, ensuring compliance with ASPICE standards and delivering reliable, secure, and high-quality embedded systems & solutions.<\/p>\n

The Role:<\/strong><\/p>\n

We are seeking a Senior Antenna System Engineer to own the vehicle-level antenna system architecture, performance, and validation for automotive platforms. This role is responsible for end-to-end antenna system definition and integration for GPS\/GNSS, DAB, FM\/AM, and Satellite Radio (SXM), working closely with internal infotainment, telematics, EMC, and vehicle engineering teams, as well as managing Tier-1 suppliers. The position includes strong ownership of DFMEA and DVP&R activities and close collaboration with radio tuner and antenna amplifier development teams to ensure robust, production-ready RF performance.<\/p>\n

System Ownership & Architecture<\/strong><\/p>\n

\u00b7\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0 Own the vehicle antenna system architecture across multiple vehicle platforms and programs<\/p>\n

\u00b7\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0 Define system requirements and performance targets for GPS\/GNSS, DAB, FM\/AM, and SXM antennas<\/p>\n

\u00b7\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0 Specify antenna concepts (roof, glass, shark-fin, bumper, mirror, etc.) considering styling, vehicle packaging, cost, and manufacturing constraints<\/p>\n

\u00b7\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0 Define interfaces between antennas, antenna amplifiers, cabling, and radio tuners<\/p>\n

Vehicle Integration & Performance<\/strong><\/p>\n

\u00b7\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0 Lead vehicle-level antenna integration, placement, grounding, and interaction with BIW, trims, and glass<\/p>\n

\u00b7\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0 Ensure optimal system performance in real-world vehicle environments, including mitigation of detuning, coupling, and noise<\/p>\n

\u00b7\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0 Work closely with radio tuner teams to optimize system sensitivity, selectivity, and robustness<\/p>\n

DFMEA, DVP & Validation<\/strong><\/p>\n

\u00b7\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0 Lead DFMEA for antenna and RF systems; identify risks, define mitigation strategies, and track closure across development phases<\/p>\n

\u00b7\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0 Own and approve DVP&R \/ DVP plans for antenna systems at component, subsystem, and vehicle levels<\/p>\n

\u00b7\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0 Review and approve validation results, ensuring compliance with OEM targets and regulatory requirements<\/p>\n

\u00b7\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0 Support DV\/PV, EMC, and vehicle-level sign-off activities<\/p>\n

\u00a0<\/strong><\/p>\n

Supplier & Program Management<\/strong><\/p>\n

\u00b7\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0 Act as the technical interface to Tier-1 suppliers for antennas, amplifiers, and RF components<\/p>\n

\u00b7\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0 Review and approve supplier designs, simulations, DFMEA, DVP results, and change requests<\/p>\n

\u00b7\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0 Drive technical issue resolution with suppliers and internal stakeholders<\/p>\n

\u00b7\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0 Support sourcing decisions and technical evaluations during supplier nomination<\/p>\n

\u00a0<\/strong><\/p>\n

Cross-Functional Leadership<\/strong><\/p>\n

\u00b7\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0 Collaborate with infotainment, telematics, EMC, body engineering, styling, manufacturing, and quality teams<\/p>\n

\u00b7\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0 Participate in system design reviews, vehicle milestones, and program gateways<\/p>\n

\u00b7\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0 Contribute to OEM antenna standards, design guidelines, and lessons learned<\/p>\n

\u00b7\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0 Mentor junior engineers and provide technical leadership within the antenna\/RF domain<\/p>\n

Required skills & experience:<\/strong><\/p>\n

\u00b7\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0 Extensive experience with automotive antenna systems: GPS\/GNSS, DAB, FM\/AM, and SXM<\/p>\n

\u00b7\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0 Strong experience working at vehicle system level within an automotive OEM environment<\/p>\n

\u00b7\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0 Proven hands-on experience with radio tuners and antenna amplifiers, including system matching and performance optimization<\/p>\n

\u00b7\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0 Solid understanding of RF fundamentals, antenna theory, and electromagnetics<\/p>\n

\u00b7\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0 Demonstrated ownership of DFMEA and DVP&R in an automotive product development lifecycle<\/p>\n

\u00b7\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0 Extensive experience in antenna and RF system engineering, preferably within an automotive OEM<\/p>\n
