Microwave Filter Design Engineer to join our team to work on a range of exciting products from conception through to volume production.<br \/>\nWith a wide range of design tools, experienced engineers and in-house RF\/mmW manufacturing capabilities, you will be able to develop your own skills and experience designing new products as part of the Filtronic team.<br \/>\nOur products range from low volume niche opportunity devices to high volume telecommunications and defence equipment.<br \/>\n<strong>Purpose Of Role <\/strong>Responsible for the design of RF and Microwave Filter and Sub-systems, ensuring that electrical performance, quality, cost and manufacturability requirements are met.<br \/>\n<strong>Summary Of Responsibilities <\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n<ul class=\"_0ed6a6d6 ab5587c9\">\n<li>Full responsibility for all aspects of filter and sub-system design, including simulation, prototyping and validation.<\/li>\n<li>Contribute to Research and Development into next generation filter solutions.<\/li>\n<li>Support of Sales functions during the quotation phases including technical correspondence with customers.<\/li>\n<li>The compilation and checking of design documentation, example: design logbooks, data packs, peer review etc. in preparation for design release and production.<\/li>\n<li>To deliver fully verified and documented designs in line with project defined technical, schedule and cost constraints.<\/li>\n<li>Preparing and reviewing tollgate documentation, ensuring the standard according to the NPI procedure is achieved and that reports are progressed and updated throughout the project.<\/li>\n<li>To proactively participate in design reviews and to initiate design reviews to mitigate risk when appropriate.<\/li>\n<li>To undertake all aspects of design verification and validation including preparation of test specifications, test reports and reliability testing\/evaluation.<\/li>\n<li>To maintain an up to date, comprehensive design compliance matrix, referencing robust evidence of compliance data for assigned designs.<\/li>\n<li>Problem-solving and fault diagnosis of manufactured products during product introduction \u2013 including definition and train-out of diagnostic procedures.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p class=\"_50d2f93f _6302b07e e5a8a44f _80760f21 dac53a5e _33e44004 b071448a _18fe8cac _1c02a242\"><span class=\"b82f840f _1476433b\" data-testid=\"expandable-text-box\"><strong>Knowledge\/Skills\/Experience <\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n<ul class=\"_0ed6a6d6 ab5587c9\">\n<li>Relevant Degree (or equivalent) preferably RF\/Communications Engineering.<\/li>\n<li>Experience using RF design tools such as Microwave Office, and CST<\/li>\n<li>5 Years + experience of Microwave Filter design including tolerance\/yield analysis and DFM.<\/li>\n<li>Hands on experience of tuning filters using VNA\u2019s, power handling and temperature tests etc.<\/li>\n<li>Capable of achieving UK Security Check (SC) clearance<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n","protected":false},"author":1,"featured_media":635,"template":"","meta":{"_promoted":"","_job_location":"Leeds, England, United Kingdom","_application":"https:\/\/www.linkedin.com\/jobs\/view\/4370396218\/?eBP=NON_CHARGEABLE_CHANNEL&trk=flagship3_search_srp_jobs&refId=4zdDRsDoDEjEJa%2FQ0RyOFg%3D%3D&trackingId=%2FHvCp6oEx3cQ07DssQ7Vvw%3D%3D","_company_name":"Filtronic","_company_website":"https:\/\/www.filtronic.com","_company_tagline":"","_company_twitter":"","_company_video":"","_filled":0,"_featured":0,"_remote_position":0,"_job_salary":"","_job_salary_currency":"","_job_salary_unit":""},"job-categories":[152],"job-types":[146],"class_list":{"0":"post-1707","1":"job_listing","2":"type-job_listing","3":"status-expired","4":"has-post-thumbnail","5":"hentry","7":"job-type-full-time"},"_links":{"self":[{"href":"https:\/\/theemcnews.co.uk\/index.php\/wp-json\/wp\/v2\/job-listings\/1707","targetHints":{"allow":["GET"]}}],"collection":[{"href":"https:\/\/theemcnews.co.uk\/index.php\/wp-json\/wp\/v2\/job-listings"}],"about":[{"href":"https:\/\/theemcnews.co.uk\/index.php\/wp-json\/wp\/v2\/types\/job_listing"}],"author":[{"embeddable":true,"href":"https:\/\/theemcnews.co.uk\/index.php\/wp-json\/wp\/v2\/users\/1"}],"wp:featuredmedia":[{"embeddable":true,"href":"https:\/\/theemcnews.co.uk\/index.php\/wp-json\/wp\/v2\/media\/635"}],"wp:attachment":[{"href":"https:\/\/theemcnews.co.uk\/index.php\/wp-json\/wp\/v2\/media?parent=1707"}],"wp:term":[{"taxonomy":"job_listing_category","embeddable":true,"href":"https:\/\/theemcnews.co.uk\/index.php\/wp-json\/wp\/v2\/job-categories?post=1707"},{"taxonomy":"job_listing_type","embeddable":true,"href":"https:\/\/theemcnews.co.uk\/index.php\/wp-json\/wp\/v2\/job-types?post=1707"}],"curies":[{"name":"wp","href":"https:\/\/api.w.org\/{rel}","templated":true}]}}
