{"id":1719,"date":"2026-02-11T14:19:40","date_gmt":"2026-02-11T14:19:40","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/theemcnews.co.uk\/?post_type=job_listing&#038;p=1719"},"modified":"2026-03-14T00:09:13","modified_gmt":"2026-03-14T00:09:13","slug":"senior-antenna-hardware-maintenance-engineer","status":"expired","type":"job_listing","link":"https:\/\/theemcnews.co.uk\/?post_type=job_listing&p=1719","title":{"rendered":"Senior Antenna Hardware Maintenance Engineer"},"content":{"rendered":"<div class=\"df5c2e2d dc9ad2f4 _386ab418 _16340271 _8164f821 d01d4e8c a597c400\">\n<h2 class=\"_2919cedb _3acadc64 _6440b05b _741278f8 e4a0eb19 f4d1b613 a80ab8f9 _6784d6e9 fe1d8962 eea20705\">About the job<\/h2>\n<\/div>\n<p>We&#8217;re looking for a <strong>Senior Antenna Hardware Maintenance Engineer<\/strong> to join our team based from North Yorkshire<\/p>\n<p>This role benefits from our 9\/75 working pattern, offering a <strong> 9 day working fortnight <\/strong>(every other Friday off)<\/p>\n<p><strong>Key Responsibilities<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul class=\"e5b4763f ef4cd91f\">\n<li>Maintenance and repair of RF Antenna Hardware, Antenna Control Equipment, Heavy Ground Terminals and associated Electronic equipment and subsystems<\/li>\n<li>System level troubleshooting and troubleshooting to component level for non-Line Replacable Unit (LRU) equipment<\/li>\n<li>Diagnostic testing on offline equipment<\/li>\n<li>Perform preventative and corrective maintenance<\/li>\n<li>Document of activities to high level and strict guidelines<\/li>\n<li>Climb vertical ladders up to 25&#8242; and carry equipment up to 50 lbs<\/li>\n<li>Team provides on call 24\/7 emergency response (typically less than once a quarter)<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>The successful candidate must hold on be able achieve the appropriate level (DV) of security clearance. More details can be found <a class=\"ef068657 a9f16aef\" href=\"https:\/\/www.linkedin.com\/redir\/redirect\/?url=https%3A%2F%2Fwww%2Egov%2Euk%2Fgovernment%2Fpublications%2Funited-kingdom-security-vetting-clearance-levels%2Fnational-security-vetting-clearance-levels&amp;urlhash=88qS&amp;isSdui=true\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">here<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Required skills, qualifications and experience<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul class=\"e5b4763f ef4cd91f\">\n<li>Demonstrable experience in an Antenna Hardware Repair \/ Maintenance Engineering role<\/li>\n<li>Knowledge of RF, Digital and Analogue technologies<\/li>\n<li>Test equipment experience (Spectrum Analysers, RF Power Meters, Oscilloscopes etc.)<\/li>\n<li>Understanding of Electrical and Mechanical systems associated with Heavy Ground Terminals, air conditioning and Heating Systems, Drive Motors, Gear and Bearing Mechanical Systems<\/li>\n<li>Able to follow flow diagrams and troubleshoot to system level<\/li>\n<li>Documentation to high level and strict guidelines<\/li>\n<li>Good communication skills comfortable conversing with external stakeholders<\/li>\n<li>Self-starter, motivated and willing to take on additional responsibilities<\/li>\n<li>Physically fit, confident traversing vertical ladders up to 25&#8242; and carry equipment up to 50 lbs<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>Desirable Skills<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul class=\"e5b4763f ef4cd91f\">\n<li>DV or higher level security clearance<\/li>\n<li>Use of MS Office (PowerPoint, Excel and Outlook)<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>What we offer you<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>At Lockheed Martin our employees come first and therefore your physical, mental and financial wellbeing matters to us.
