All activities that consider both the business and the technical needs of the customers with the goal of providing a quality product that meets the user\u2019s needs by balancing both customer requirements and technical feasibility.<\/p>\n<p>The discipline that executes a robust process of design, creation, and optimization of systems, consisting of identification and quantification of system requirements, creation of alternate system design concepts, performance of design trade studies, selection and implementation of the best designs and verification that the design is properly integrated and executed. Process that proceeds from concept to production to operation.<\/p>\n<p>As part of the role, the candidate will be required to represent GE in front of external stakeholders such as clients, third party suppliers, professional bodies (IEC, Cigr\u00e9, etc). You will also interact with GE stakeholders within the HVDC business and the wider GE renewables organisation. The candidate will also have the opportunity to develop innovative ideas and publish their work internationally in scientific papers and patents.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Job Description <\/strong><strong>Essential responsibilities: <\/strong>The Successful Candidate May Be Involved In Any Of The Following Areas And Is Expected To Have Experience In a Number Of These Areas:<\/p>\n<p><\/span><\/p>\n<ul class=\"b8ef780a _1c52b5e9\">\n<li>Radio Frequency Interference studies and Electromagnetic Compatibility studies.<\/li>\n<li>Power Line Carrier Interference studies and filters.<\/li>\n<li>Design of AC, DC, and High Frequency harmonic filters and screening. Calculations of filter performance and rating.
