Based at our Edinburgh site, you\u2019ll become part of a team whose work defines the leading edge of radar innovation.<\/p>\n<p>You\u2019ll play a pivotal role in developing and delivering cutting\u2011edge radio\u2011frequency systems that sit at the heart of our advanced Radar products. Your expertise will help ensure these systems perform with precision, reliability, and excellence in some of the most demanding environments in the world.<\/p>\n<p><strong>You will <\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n<ul class=\"_4d988212 _7fd6be96\">\n<li>Create high quality and robust RF PCB Assemblies on multilayer substrates using a mix of active and passive RF components which you will integrate with digital, analogue, and embedded control circuits.<\/li>\n<li>Perform RF circuit design including LNAs, PAs, filters, couplers, combiners, switches, and oscillators.<\/li>\n<li>Ensure design reviews are planned, executed and completed successfully<\/li>\n<li>Prepare robust manufacturing data packs and provide technical support to sub-contracts and engineering interface with manufacturing<\/li>\n<li>Conduct laboratory testing of your design including debugging, and performance verification to ensure the requirements are met.<\/li>\n<li>Collaborate with cross-disciplinary teams \u2013 mechanical, systems, test and manufacture &#8211; to ensure seamless integration of RF and microwave assemblies into our larger systems<\/li>\n<li>Mentor early career engineers and contribute to technical reviews and design standards<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p class=\"_73e4f0ec _79826e45 _86089337 _76e19cb4 _48732c09 _70939782 cba00cae e82852d2 _7727cd49 _2d252095 _3b35bc3c\"><span class=\"_0e53c552 _2a01c2f9\" tabindex=\"-1\" data-testid=\"expandable-text-box\"><strong>What You\u2019ll Bring <\/strong>To excel in this role, you\u2019ll bring a strong command of RF circuit design, microwave engineering, and electromagnetic theory, paired with the problem\u2011solving mindset and attention to detail needed to tackle complex technical challenges. A curiosity for emerging technologies, enthusiasm for the defence and space sectors, and adaptability to new methods and tools will also help you thrive as part of our team.<\/p>\n<p><\/span><\/p>\n<ul class=\"_4d988212 _7fd6be96\">\n<li>Qualifications first or second degree (BSc, BEng, MEng, MSc, PhD, EngD) in Electrical &amp; Electronic Engineering (preferable) or related science (e.g. Physics)<\/li>\n<li>Proven experience (3 years +) in RF circuit design and analysis and a strong understanding of microwave techniques and electromagnetic theory.<\/li>\n<li>Proficiency in using commercial software tools for RF analysis \/simulation such as Keysight ADS, AWR Microwave Office &amp; CST Microwave Studio<\/li>\n<li>Hands-on experience in RF &amp; Microwave measurement techniques such as Vector Network Analysis, Spectrum Analysis etc.<\/li>\n<li>Awareness of requirements management, ideally using tools such as IBM Doors.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p class=\"_73e4f0ec _79826e45 _86089337 _76e19cb4 _48732c09 _70939782 cba00cae e82852d2 _7727cd49 _2d252095 _3b35bc3c\"><span class=\"_0e53c552 _2a01c2f9\" tabindex=\"-1\" data-testid=\"expandable-text-box\"><strong>Security Clearance <\/strong>This role is subject to pre-employment screening in line with the UK Government\u2019s Baseline Personnel Security Standard (BPSS).
