It has major operations all over the world and is part of the domestic defence capability of several nations.<em> Read more about us <\/em><a class=\"c8d965bd _8eb69b2f b86bfa2b ed96e036 _5aaa259f\" href=\"https:\/\/about\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\"><em>here<\/em><\/a><em>. <\/em><strong>The Role: <\/strong>Saab is expanding in the UK and we are now seeking a talented and highly motivated RF Inspection &amp; Test Technician to support our radar and sensors activities at our Fareham office.<\/p>\n<p>Much of our current work is centred on the G1X radar, which is the newest radar in Saab\u2019s portfolio \u2013 a software defined radar with a regular capability update cycle post-delivery, as well as an established production line. As an Inspection &amp; Test Technician you will work in the Production department as part of the Test &amp; Inspection team. Duties will be (but not limited to) inspecting produced items and units and testing units and the G1X Radar. Whilst the role is based in Fareham there may be opportunities for trips to Sweden for training and knowledge transfer.<\/p>\n<p>Key responsibilities include:<\/p>\n<p><\/span><\/p>\n<ul class=\"f3e42a7e b03c18e6\">\n<li>Support Inspection &amp; Test Team Leader by being proactive to achieve production goals<\/li>\n<li>Ensure any soldering and electrical looming is carried out to a high standard in line with company standards and procedures. Test functionality of produced units and sub-assemblies<\/li>\n<li>Help and support others with training when possible, by passing on knowledge and skills.<\/li>\n<li>Understand and interpret electrical drawings.<\/li>\n<li>Follow documented processes and record results<\/li>\n<li>Carry out any other duties as detailed by the team leader or Production Supervisor. Maintain personal ability in, and appropriate use of, all relevant IT (Information &amp; Technology) and other systems required to adequately perform the role.<\/li>\n<li>Act ethically, with integrity and in the best interest of the business at all times<\/li>\n<li>Maintain a professional and supportive relationship with team members and other departments in order to deliver business and delivery objectives or deadlines.<\/li>\n<li>Test radar systems, including conducting thorough inspections and performance evaluations to ensure they meet required specifications.<\/li>\n<li>Troubleshoot radar systems by identifying and resolving technical issues, performing diagnostic tests, and implementing corrective actions.<\/li>\n<li>Liaise with Swedish colleagues over Teams, email, or in person to b03c18e6\">\n<li>Be familiar with use of standard test and measurement equipment used in either a communications, radar or electronic warfare systems environment<\/li>\n<li>Enjoy working and developing in a team<\/li>\n<li>Like cooperating with others but are capable of working individually as well<\/li>\n<li>Good technical communication skills<\/li>\n<li>Computer literate<\/li>\n<li>Capable of good time management<\/li>\n<li>During your employment you will handle tasks and materials that are classified as military secret and therefore you must have a UK or Swedish citizenship<\/li>\n<li>Experienced in the use of multi-meters, Oscilloscopes, Spectrum and Network Analysers with a knowledge of both analogue and digital systems.<\/li>\n<li>Good knowledge of electrical and electronic components and principles.<\/li>\n<li>Have 3-5 years of minimum RF experience, with a proven track record of troubleshooting.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p class=\"_96eb4be5 b7446824 Skills:<\/p>\n<p><\/span><\/p>\n<ul class=\"f3e42a7e b03c18e6\">\n<li>Capable of inspecting to IPC class 3 standard<\/li>\n<li>Have a background in inspection, testing and measurement (3-5 years minimum)<\/li>\n<li>As a person you are positive, social, result oriented and a team player.<\/li>\n<li>Proficiency in documenting procedures, findings, and recommendations.<\/li>\n<li>Capacity to
