This is a hands-on engineering position working across the full vehicle lifecycle, from early concept through to volume production, helping ensure every vehicle meets legislative, corporate and quality expectations.<\/p>\n<p>You\u2019ll take ownership of EMC sign-off for minor vehicle programmes and selected components, working in line with JLR corporate standards. The role brings variety and visibility, with close collaboration across homologation, engineering test facilities and a broad range of component owners, giving you real influence on vehicle-level outcomes.<\/p>\n<p>Alongside compliance delivery, you\u2019ll support the investigation of EMC-related vehicle issues, contributing to root-cause analysis and the development of robust technical solutions. It\u2019s a great opportunity for someone who enjoys problem-solving, cross-functional working and seeing their engineering decisions translate directly into compliant, production-ready vehicles.<\/p>\n<p><strong>What To Expect <\/strong>In this role, you\u2019ll play a key part in delivering high-quality outcomes and supporting the wider team through a range of responsibilities, including \u2013<\/p>\n<p><\/span><\/p>\n<ul class=\"_4f01725a _15d3fc66\">\n<li>Support Lead Vehicle EMC Engineers in defining programme content and identifying the vehicles and variants required to achieve full EMC coverage in line with JLR standards<\/li>\n<li>Assist with the selection and interpretation of requirements, and contribute to robust test planning to support delivery through key engineering gateways<\/li>\n<li>Develop clear, structured EMC test plans for use in vehicle chambers, enabling test engineers to carry out all required assessments efficiently and consistently<\/li>\n<li>Plan and coordinate workshop activities to ensure pilot build vehicles are delivered, prepared, and fit for test on time<\/li>\n<li>Review, interpret and evaluate EMC test results, highlighting risks, trends and areas requiring further investigation<\/li>\n<li>Support the investigation and resolution of vehicle-level EMC issues, contributing to root-cause analysis and the development of effective technical solutions<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p class=\"d489e4ee ff7aed01 _1dd999e6 _75831f08 f699f646 _43118a4a _211c3703 _9ded863e _8145c8e8 _8cdcbb00 fb7d37ea\"><span class=\"debe9890 _72ce7e55\" tabindex=\"-1\" data-testid=\"expandable-text-box\"><strong>What You\u2019ll Need <\/strong>We\u2019re looking for someone with the right blend of experience, qualifications, and practical skills, including \u2013<\/p>\n<p><\/span><\/p>\n<ul class=\"_4f01725a _15d3fc66\">\n<li>Previous experience in a comparable Electromagnetic Compatibility (EMC) engineering role within an engineering or automotive environment<\/li>\n<li>A solid understanding of EMC theory and design principles, with practical experience applying these in real-world engineering scenarios<\/li>\n<li>Hands-on experience of vehicle-level EMC testing within the automotive sector<\/li>\n<li>Good working knowledge of automotive EMC legal requirements and relevant international standards<\/li>\n<li>Understanding of high-voltage (HV) vehicle systems and associated components<\/li>\n<li>Degree-qualified in a relevant engineering discipline, or able to demonstrate equivalent, proven industry experience<\/li>\n<li>Strong communication skills, with the ability to work effectively across technical and non-technical teams<\/li>\n<li>Full valid driving licence<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p class=\"d489e4ee ff7aed01 _1dd999e6 _75831f08 f699f646 _43118a4a _211c3703 _9ded863e _8145c8e8 _8cdcbb00 fb7d37ea\"><span class=\"debe9890 _72ce7e55\" tabindex=\"-1\" data-testid=\"expandable-text-box\"><strong>Benefits <\/strong>This role is rewarding in more ways than one.
