You will lead the full design lifecycle, from initial concept through detailed development, verification, and delivery, addressing complex RF engineering challenges with rigour and creativity. Acting as the RF lead at sub\u2011system and Line Replacement Unit (LRU) level, you will provide authoritative technical guidance, ensure design integrity, and collaborate closely with multidisciplinary teams to meet performance, safety, and compliance requirements.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Core Duties <\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n<ul class=\"_2e99433a _082f4705\">\n<li>Providing technical leadership on RF engineering, guiding design decisions and assuring technical integrity<\/li>\n<li>Developing, promoting and sharing new RF technologies for adoption across programmes and business areas<\/li>\n<li>Producing detailed RF system and circuit designs supported by analytical and electromagnetic simulation<\/li>\n<li>Specifing bespoke procured hardware and verify designs through simulation, analysis, testing and EMC support<\/li>\n<li>Leading integration activities within complex equipment environments and generate or review technical documentation<\/li>\n<li>Collaborating with systems, mechanical\/thermal, safety, ILS and manufacturing teams; supporting lifecycle reviews, bids and proposals<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p class=\"_946213aa _27bd3566 _9fd89c5c d7a1f895 b8aa1270 _89d85cc9 a5eeb16c b77377cf _886cde9f _45bde1b9 _9158f608\"><span class=\"abf4077d _86685eda\" tabindex=\"-1\" data-testid=\"expandable-text-box\"><strong>Essential Skills <\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n<ul class=\"_2e99433a _082f4705\">\n<li>Degree\u2011qualified in Electronic Engineering (or closely related discipline) with substantial experience in RF technologies, system architectures and circuit design<\/li>\n<li>Skilled in simulating RF systems using tools such as ADS, HFSS or equivalent modelling environments<\/li>\n<li>Experienced in producing component\u2011level designs suitable for volume production, including detailed verification and proving<\/li>\n<li>Considerable background in integration, defect resolution and gathering evidence to demonstrate acceptance, compliance, safety and fitness for purpose<\/li>\n<li>Ability to apply rigorous engineering discipline across RF design, simulation, analysis and system\u2011level validation activities<\/li>\n<li>Experience in high\u2011integrity environments and complex radar or sensing systems is adventagous<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p class=\"_946213aa _27bd3566 _9fd89c5c d7a1f895 b8aa1270 _89d85cc9 a5eeb16c b77377cf _886cde9f _45bde1b9 _9158f608\"><span class=\"abf4077d _86685eda\" tabindex=\"-1\" data-testid=\"expandable-text-box\"><strong>The Radar Systems Engineering Team <\/strong>You will be working as a Principal RF Engineer within our close-knit multi-function radar team of inter-disciplinary engineers, evolving our radar portfolio of existing and brand-new radar products to address emerging and future threats.<\/p>\n<p>Join us and help shape the future of Radar technology!<\/p>\n<p><strong>Why BAE Systems? <\/strong>Here you\u2019ll build a career with purpose and limitless possibilities.
