Exceptions above the standard range are managed through governance controls to protect internal equity.<\/p>\n<p>Leonardo UK has an exciting opportunity for a Lead EMC Engineer to join our established EMC Test Team at our dedicated UKAS accredited EMC Test facility in Basildon. This site-based role will undertake EMC testing, specification, design and development work on various Air \/ Land and Sea projects at system and component level.<\/p>\n<p>This is a fantastic opportunity to develop your career in EMC, push past your present testing only boundaries and join one of UK\u2019s leading technology companies working on UK high technology programs with far reaching effects.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Your impact<\/p>\n<p><\/strong>Working alongside the Lab Manager, you will provide UKAS accredited EMC testing along with design and development support to projects; this includes the development of EMC test procedures, plans and requirements which provide robust cost-effective solutions to our customers.<\/p>\n<p>Customer and supplier liaison is also key, ensuring the minimisation of through life EMC cost while offering an innovative and robust solution to our customers\u2019 needs.<\/p>\n<p>The production of EMC documentation for projects will be necessary along with approving suppliers\u2019 documentation and test results. EMC testing forms a major part of the role, both in house and at external EMC test houses. The successful applicant will also be key in supporting the Basildon EMC facility UKAS audit schedule and accreditation. Other duties include EMC test house and equipment maintenance duties.<\/p>\n<p>Key Responsibility Areas<\/p>\n<p><\/span><\/p>\n<ul class=\"_39776fa3 b9e126ad _1e09f84a\">\n<li>In house and external EMC testing to military, aviation, and commercial standards.<\/li>\n<li>Design for EMC.<\/li>\n<li>Development of EMC requirements from legislation and top-level system specifications.<\/li>\n<li>Production of EMC Plans for complex systems and components.<\/li>\n<li>Supplier management for control of EMC design at sub-tier suppliers.<\/li>\n<li>Production of in-house test procedures and reports.<\/li>\n<li>Definition of test requirements including test house selection.<\/li>\n<li>Provision of technical support for resolving EMC issues.<\/li>\n<li>Representing the test facility at design reviews and phase reviews to provide specialist input.<\/li>\n<li>Supporting the test facility\u2019s UKAS certification.<\/li>\n<li>Challenge and support Technical Teams \/ Senior Management on EMC related topics.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p class=\"_243b3f31 _92e983aa _65482d3d c14a369d _4f04b8a1 _4fbd672a _3cbd1d85 bed7a945 _756a9e78 _96cfadde _9ea9f6c5\"><span class=\"b4be27ef _985d32e2 _1e09f84a\" tabindex=\"-1\" data-testid=\"expandable-text-box\"><strong>About You<\/p>\n<p><\/strong>Experience of UKAS audits and looking after the day to day running and capability enhancement and maintenance of an EMC test facility is essential.<\/p>\n<p>Expertise in<\/p>\n<p><\/span><\/p>\n<ul class=\"_39776fa3 b9e126ad _1e09f84a\">\n<li>EMC testing to standards (military, aviation and commercial).<\/li>\n<li>EMC requirement generation from standards and legislation.<\/li>\n<li>Customer EMC requirements analysis.<\/li>\n<li>System level EMC design, development, and solution provision.<\/li>\n<li>EMC Component selection.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p class=\"_243b3f31 _92e983aa _65482d3d c14a369d _4f04b8a1 _4fbd672a _3cbd1d85 bed7a945 _756a9e78 _96cfadde _9ea9f6c5\"><span class=\"b4be27ef _985d32e2 _1e09f84a\" tabindex=\"-1\" data-testid=\"expandable-text-box\"><strong>Security Clearance<\/p>\n<p><\/strong>Successful candidates will need to hold sole UK nationality.
