UL Solutions is hiring an Operations Lead to run one of the UK\u2019s most advanced EMC testing laboratories. This is an outstanding opportunity for an experienced Senior Engineer or Laboratory Supervisor who is ready to take the next step into a broader leadership role. Combining technical expertise with operational responsibility, this position offers the chance to develop and apply leadership skills, drive laboratory performance, and make a significant impact on the future success of the business.<\/p>\n

Team Leadership<\/b><\/p>\n

\u2022 Lead, coach, and develop a team of engineers and technicians<\/p>\n

\u2022 Create a positive, high-performance culture<\/p>\n

\u2022 Set clear goals and provide regular feedback<\/p>\n

Operational Delivery<\/b><\/p>\n

\u2022 Drive efficiency across lab operations, workflow, and resource allocation<\/p>\n

\u2022 Use data (utilisation, margins, delivery metrics) to improve performance<\/p>\n

\u2022 Implement continuous improvement initiatives<\/p>\n

Project & Technical Oversight<\/b><\/p>\n

\u2022 Oversee test programmes and ensure high-quality delivery<\/p>\n

\u2022 Support problem-solving and technical decision-making<\/p>\n

\u2022 Ensure adherence to standards and best practice<\/p>\n

Customer & Commercial Impact<\/b><\/p>\n

\u2022 Act as a trusted escalation point for customers<\/p>\n

\u2022 Partner with sales on scope, pricing, and delivery<\/p>\n

\u2022 Own financial performance including cost and revenue management<\/p>\n<\/div>\n

You don\u2019t need to be an EMC expert. We are open to candidates from EMC, RF, wireless, product validation, compliance, or broader engineering\/test environments.<\/p>\n
