The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience in high-frequency,\u202fhigh-power RF systems,\u202fultra-sensitive receiver systems, with\u202fstrong simulation and analytical skills.\u202fThe candidate\u202fwill\u202fwork on designing, analysing, and\u202foptimizing\u202fadvanced RF subsystems for satellite and aerospace applications.\u202fThe candidate should have strong analytical and problem-solving skills and be able to navigate in a fast-changing dynamic and innovative environment.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Key Responsibilities:<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><\/span><\/p>\n<ul class=\"_12b6eae5 _29fbe201 _42fbde90\">\n<li>Contribute\u202fproactively to\u202fthe design and development of\u202fRF subsystems\u202ffor our next generation of satellite communication,\u202fnavigation\u202for RF monitoring\u202fsystems<\/li>\n<li>Component\u202fselection and circuit level design using PCB software (Altium preferred), along with simulation\u202f(CST, ADS preferred)\u202fwhere\u202frequired;including transceivers for UHF, S-, X- and Ka-bands.<\/li>\n<li>Management of RF modules through production &amp; test<\/li>\n<li>RF module test and fault-find at bench level, environmental level (EMC and thermal vacuum testing) and spacecraft level<\/li>\n<li>Lead RF testing, validation, and space qualification efforts\u202ffor new and existing systems<\/li>\n<li>Develop test plans, and operational procedures<\/li>\n<li>Provide technical consultancy support to software engineering, payloads,\u202fsatellite\u202foperations, and manufacturing teams<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p class=\"_5d302b6a a6bc4c2c _75f604f0 _1501918d efd8d586 _3773d5ff c65a4fcc _708b38c4 ac148a1d f65bf225 cefe1f0e\"><span class=\"d9e33baa a7f005fa _42fbde90\" tabindex=\"-1\" data-testid=\"expandable-text-box\"><strong>Basic Skills\/Qualifications:<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><\/span><\/p>\n<ul class=\"_12b6eae5 _29fbe201 _42fbde90\">\n<li>BSc, MSc or Ph.D. degree in Telecommunications, Microwave or RF Electronics Engineering<\/li>\n<li>5+ years of\u202fworking\u202fexperience\u202fon\u202fdesign,\u202fdevelopment\u202fand testing of RF systems<\/li>\n<li>Hands-on RF simulation, design and manufacturing experience and fault-finding during test<\/li>\n<li>PCB\u202fschematic\u202fcapture and\u202flayout for RF circuits<\/li>\n<li>Experience with laboratory or field RF testing with relevant technical equipment\u202fsuch as Network Analyzer, SignalAnalyzer\u202fand Signal Generator<\/li>\n<li>Measuring performance of passive and active circuits to provide data that backs up system requirements, including phase noise, compression points,\u202fassociated chain\u202flosses\u202fand signals analysis<\/li>\n<li>Tuning of RF circuits to achieve\u202foptimal\u202fperformance<\/li>\n<li>Proficient in simulation tools (ADS, CST,\u202fHFSS, MATLAB)<\/li>\n<li>Proven\u202ftrack record\u202fof promoting cooperation and\u202fteamwork<\/li>\n<li>Demonstration of problem-solving skills and solution-oriented approaches when dealing with challenges<\/li>\n<li>Flexibility to shifting priorities and operational requirements<\/li>\n<li>Attention to detail,\u202fhighly organized\u202fwith clear communication skills<\/li>\n<li>Proficiency\u202fin scripting languages and testing tools (Python\u202fpreferred).<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p class=\"_5d302b6a a6bc4c2c _75f604f0 _1501918d efd8d586 _3773d5ff c65a4fcc _708b38c4 ac148a1d f65bf225 cefe1f0e\"><span class=\"d9e33baa a7f005fa _42fbde90\" tabindex=\"-1\" data-testid=\"expandable-text-box\"><strong>Preferred Skills\/Qualifications<\/p>\n<p><\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n<ul class=\"_12b6eae5 _29fbe201 _42fbde90\">\n<li>Strong background in high-frequency RF systems (e.g., Ku-band, Ka-band)<\/li>\n<li>End-to-end RF system analysis, simulation, and optimization<\/li>\n<li>Knowledge of frequency spectrum management<\/li>\n<li>Knowledge of\u202fstate-of-the-art\u202fRF\u202fanalog\u202fand high-speed digital signal processing techniques and technologies\u202fusing Xilinx\/AMD\u202fMPSoC\/RFSoC.<\/li>\n<li>Passive and active antenna design, and antenna measurement techniques<\/li>\n<li>Experience of power supply design and EMI mitigation techniques<\/li>\n<li>Experience of digital circuit design including microcontroller,\u202fFPGA\u202fand high-speed transceivers<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p class=\"_5d302b6a a6bc4c2c _75f604f0 _1501918d efd8d586 _3773d5ff c65a4fcc _708b38c4 ac148a1d f65bf225 cefe1f0e\"><span class=\"d9e33baa a7f005fa _42fbde90\" tabindex=\"-1\" data-testid=\"expandable-text-box\">Spire operates a hybrid work model, and this position will require you to work a minimum of three days per week in the office.<\/p>\n<p>Access to US export-controlled software and\/or technology may be required for this role.
