We are looking to recruit our next EMC\/ Electromagnetic Environmental Effects (E3) Engineer to join our team within the Helicopter Division based in Yeovil, Somerset. There is opportunity to work at varying levels of seniority and complexity, dependent on your experience.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Your impact<\/p>\n<p><\/strong>As an EMC (E3) Engineer you will be working in a cross-geographic team to design, develop and qualify system installations and rotary wing platforms in response to customer requirements and certification regulations.<\/p>\n<p>As an experienced candidate, you have the prospect of progression to develop into a Chief Project role, where you will have technical autonomy for a helicopter product type for all aspects of E3\/EMC. Compliance Verification Engineer opportunities may also be available for the appropriate candidate.<\/p>\n<p><strong>What You\u2019ll Do As EMC Engineer<\/p>\n<p><\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n<ul class=\"_43afed9c _860e273a _67a2ec9f\">\n<li>Support bid activities for future contracts.<\/li>\n<li>Identify equipment qualification requirements and agree vendor equipment design and qualification strategies including test\/analysis\/ similarity documents.<\/li>\n<li>Prepare aircraft test documentation and conduct E3 testing (HIRF, Mutual Compatibility and TEMPEST, HERO\/ HERP) on aircraft as directed.<\/li>\n<li>Review and manage vendor qualification activities according to EMC aerospace standards (DO-160, DEF STAN 59-411)<\/li>\n<li>Evaluate modifications of varying complexity with respect to electromagnetic environmental effects and provide Subject Matter Expert input to multidisciplinary teams throughout the design\/development activity<\/li>\n<li>Undertake Helicopter testing\/ analyses including generation of required documentation<\/li>\n<li>Analyse and implement design mitigation measures at platform level<\/li>\n<li>Produce documentation to support demonstration of compliance with civil\/military requirements<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p class=\"f91d7e23 bf69baf9 _9cf78d2b fe986416 d39e7b06 _7517829e _4a658dc3 _103420b5 bb3d93d2 ae29af4c d703d490\"><span class=\"_93d8d9c2 ac6d5632 _09c18497 _67a2ec9f\" tabindex=\"-1\" data-testid=\"expandable-text-box\">Due to the nature of the work this role does require on-site presence for a minimum of 2-3 days per week.<\/p>\n<p><strong>What You\u2019ll Bring<\/p>\n<p><\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n<ul class=\"_43afed9c _860e273a _67a2ec9f\">\n<li>First\/ Second Degree in a relevant subject (e.g. Avionics, Electronics, Physics, Mathematics, Electrical Engineering, RF &amp; Microwave) or HNC\/HND\/BTEC with experience<\/li>\n<li>Previous knowledge and experience of working in the electromagnetics discipline and ideally aerospace<\/li>\n<li>Have knowledge and understanding of the relevant airworthiness regulations<\/li>\n<li>Knowledge and experience in the design, development, integration and qualification of aircraft electrical and avionic systems, including:<\/li>\n<li>Electrical design<\/li>\n<li>Electrical Generation and Distribution Systems<\/li>\n<li>Electrical Installation<\/li>\n<li>Lighting systems<\/li>\n<li>Electromagnetic Compatibility<\/li>\n<li>Air Vehicle systems<\/li>\n<li>Avionic system<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p class=\"f91d7e23 bf69baf9 _9cf78d2b fe986416 d39e7b06 _7517829e _4a658dc3 _103420b5 bb3d93d2 ae29af4c d703d490\"><span class=\"_93d8d9c2 ac6d5632 _09c18497 _67a2ec9f\" tabindex=\"-1\" data-testid=\"expandable-text-box\">This is not an exhaustive list, and we are keen to hear from you even if you might not have experience in all the above.
