What about mobile ad-hoc radio networks, messaging systems for the emergency services or internet of things sensors? How do you fancy airborne or space-based radars? If you are an enthusiastic, adaptable and motivated person with a background in engineering, who thrives on variety, enjoys learning new skills and facing exciting challenges then this is the place to be.<\/p>\n<p><strong>THE ROLE<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>We are looking for an experienced senior RF electronics engineer to join the team, possessing the experience necessary to play a key role in designing, building and testing new RF-based systems and products. In addition to the technical skills necessary, you will be comfortable explaining complex technical matters to non-technical customers.<\/p>\n<p>The role provides the opportunity to use your technical skills to work with a team to follow exciting new ideas through from concept into reality. You will have the satisfaction of working with a supportive and experienced team of subject matter experts, in a state-of-the-art electronics lab containing the latest test and measurement equipment (spectrum\/network analysis\/anechoic chambers).<\/p>\n<p>Key desired skills and experience<\/p>\n<ul class=\"e3120df0 b2597d90 _1d6a4537\">\n<li>Good MEng in electronic engineering (or similar discipline).<\/li>\n<li>6+ years post-graduate experience in designing RF-based circuits (e.g. for radios and\/or radars).<\/li>\n<li>Experience developing products and modules from concept through to successful design verification.<\/li>\n<li>Good microwave, RF and analogue design and simulation skills. RF amplifier, filter and frequency synthesiser design.<\/li>\n<li>Experience of relevant open architecture standards such as OpenCPI, STICS or SOSA<\/li>\n<li>Advantageous but not essential:<\/li>\n<li>Radio and\/or radar systems knowledge<\/li>\n<li>Team leadership and\/or line management experience<\/li>\n<li>Digital circuit design skills<\/li>\n<li>Experience of mm-wave frequency design.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>THE REWARDS<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>In return, we offer a competitive package and a stimulating environment that will encourage you to be your best.
