within the Systems Engineering Function to design and develop requirements and solutions that sit at the heart of our products on the core signal processing kernel.<\/p>\n<p>The role will require on-site working at our state of the art UK site in Luton.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Current Ongoing Work<\/p>\n<p><\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n<ul class=\"gflkrc gflkz5 gfllgi\">\n<li>Protection systems for current RAF aircraft and export customers, including Typhoon and Apache<\/li>\n<li>Technology development for the Global Combat Air Programme (GCAP), developing Tempest, the next generation fighter aircraft that will replace the RAF\u2019s Typhoon<\/li>\n<li>Concept demonstrators for future Electronic warfare technologies and systems<\/li>\n<li>Drawing insight from the vast amounts of data collected by our electronic surveillance systems through artificial intelligence and machine learning<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p class=\"gflkzy gflkxo gflkxc gflkyo gflkyr gflky0 gflkzf gflfc9 gflkzw gflk7l gflk7p\"><span class=\"gfllfj gflam3 gfliiy gfllgi\" tabindex=\"-1\" data-testid=\"expandable-text-box\"><strong>What You\u2019ll Do As a Systems Engineer<\/p>\n<p><\/strong>Our Systems Engineers work in multidisciplinary teams spanning a range of activities pulling together the necessary engineering and technology strands into a high-performance system, bridging the gap between the theoretically possible and the practically implementable.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Typical Work You Might Be Involved In<\/p>\n<p><\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n<ul class=\"gflkrc gflkz5 gfllgi\">\n<li>Early concept studies investigating the application of new technology on future platforms<\/li>\n<li>Engaging with stakeholders, defining requirements for a new system<\/li>\n<li>Conducting cost and functional performance trade-offs and evaluation of proposed solutions<\/li>\n<li>Enhancing capabilities and performance of in-service systems<\/li>\n<li>Designing and integrating new functionality into an existing system<\/li>\n<li>Modelling a system to understand observed simulated performance<\/li>\n<li>Development of capability within limitations and constraints of the target hardware<\/li>\n<li>Root-cause analysis of anomalies observed during integration or evaluation activities<\/li>\n<li>Designing and conducting testing and trials to prove equipment function and performance<\/li>\n<li>Opportunities to lead technical activities and initiatives<\/li>\n<li>Mentoring and coaching other engineers<\/li>\n<li>Creating and delivering reports, presentations and proposals to customers and industry science-based Honours degree or equivalent experience<\/li>\n<li>Industrial or academic research experience<\/li>\n<li>Mathematical Background in data analysis and pattern matching<\/li>\n<li>Experience in design of algorithms for embedded real-time systems<\/li>\n<li>Knowledge of Sensor Fusion technologies and strategies<\/li>\n<li>Experience or a desire to gain electronic warfare domain knowledge<\/li>\n<li>A desire to further your engineering knowledge through training, team working and mentoring<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p class=\"gflkzy gflkxo gflkxc gflkyo gflkyr Modelling and Analysis<\/li>\n<li>Integration<\/li>\n<li>Verification and Validation<\/li>\n<li>Model Based Systems Engineering (MBSE)<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p class=\"gflkzy gflkxo gflkxc gflkyo gflkyr following:<\/p>\n<p><\/span><\/p>\n<ul class=\"gflkrc gflkz5 gfllgi\">\n<li>Experience of working with related specialisms such as safety, security, or reliability<\/li>\n<li>Knowledge of operation of threat systems<\/li>\n<li>Working understanding of C++<\/li>\n<li>Domain-specialist knowledge such as:<\/li>\n<li>Digital signal processing<\/li>\n<li>RF systems<\/li>\n<li>Real time data simulation\/generation<\/li>\n<li>Military Electronic systems<\/li>\n<li>Data analysis using AI or Machine Learning<\/li>\n<li>Operational Experience in Electronic Intelligence or Electronic
