    <\/strong>The Payload Prepare for Test team works on the electrical and RF testing of telecommunication satellite spacecraft products, specifically on the NEO and the new OneSat platforms. Our team is composed of RF validation, hardware, and software engineers who collaborate to deliver our test solutions in the following areas:<\/p>\n

    Test System Development<\/p>\n

    <\/span><\/p>\n

      \n
    • Interpreting test requirements to develop new test systems and test types in line with project needs and to satisfy the validation and system team;<\/li>\n
    • Forward looking group anticipating future needs and obsolescence to deliver world class RF and Electrical payload check out systems;<\/li>\n
    • Continually looking to improve testing through innovation and new technologies.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n

      Test Deployment<\/p>\n

      <\/span><\/p>\n

        \n
      • On time validation and deployment of our test assets to project \/ operations;<\/li>\n
      • Providing on the ground and first line support to spacecraft production operations;<\/li>\n
      • Ownership of first closure Non-Quality (NQ) resolution related to test systems.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n

        RF Engineering and Validation<\/p>\n

        <\/span><\/p>\n

          \n
        • Customer facing team liaising directly with external and internal customers to ensure we deliver against testing requirements and expectations;<\/li>\n
        • Governance of test processes related to operations and preparation;<\/li>\n
        • Providing test inputs to production schedules and management of live test phases;<\/li>\n
        • Validation of test system and payload results to ensure compliance with requirements.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n

          What you will be doing:<\/p>\n

          <\/strong>During this internship, you will support Satellite Payload Test functions detailed above and contribute to the successful delivery of payload test campaigns across multiple live projects.<\/p>\n

          Typical activities include:<\/p>\n

          <\/span><\/p>\n

            \n
          • Design and procurement of new test system hardware;<\/li>\n
          • Initial assembly, validation and commissioning of new test system hardware;<\/li>\n
          • Writing of new test system software;<\/li>\n
          • Supporting investigations with the systems engineering team;<\/li>\n
          • Test System parametric data generation and validation;<\/li>\n
          • Test System test code validation;<\/li>\n
          • Test System calibration and deployment to the cleanroom;<\/li>\n
          • Test System emulation of parametric data;<\/li>\n
          • Test System support of live test campaigns and investigations.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n

            These activities will involve participating in our sprints and daily scrums, and when needed, you’ll be in the cleanroom supporting the test system itself.<\/p>\n

            Requirements:<\/p>\n

            <\/strong>Our placements are open to Undergraduates only . <\/strong>Therefore it is mandatory for candidates to be an undergraduate for the whole duration of the placement. Please inform your graduation date on your application.<\/p>\n

              As the successful candidate, you should be able to demonstrate the following:<\/p>\n

              • Currently studying towards an Engineering, Science, or Production based degree;<\/li>\n
              • Have a basic knowledge of Labview and\/or Java, and have basic knowledge of Agile\/Sprint methodologies;<\/li>\n
              • Communication skills, teamwork, presentation skills, and you are proactive and not afraid to speak up or ask questions.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n

                This Job Request will be allocated to the projected Joint-Venture scope towards a leading European player in space.<\/p>\n

                <\/strong>SECURITY CLEARANCE: <\/strong>You will be subject to a BPSS (Baseline Personnel Security Standard) check. You may also need to gain UK SC-level Security Clearance or Export Control, depending on the role.<\/p>\n
