You&#8217;ll provide technical leadership, design complex MW-scale Power Systems, and contribute to our overall strategy across Defence, Marine, Energy, and Industrial applications.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Job Description<\/p>\n<p><\/strong><strong>Core Responsibilities:<\/p>\n<p><\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Be a recognised technical expert in Power Systems, associated components &amp; equipment.<\/li>\n<li>Provide technical ownership to projects to support the development of safe, technically compliant, and cost-effective solutions at holistic Power System level.<\/li>\n<li>Undertake all aspects of Power Systems design: &#8211; including modelling, analysis, and simulation of Power Systems, using standard industrial design tools such as: MATLAB\/SIMULINK, ETAP etc.<\/li>\n<li>Develop equipment specifications, FDS\u2019s and support overall system level design.<\/li>\n<li>Ensure Power System designs comply with the relevant EMC standards, health &amp; safety requirements, international standards, and class society rules where applicable.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>Additional Responsibilities<\/p>\n<p><\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Support attainment of on-time delivery, cost, and quality targets on projects with utmost focus on safety.<\/li>\n<li>Provides project level technical leadership in design, reviews, project level technical resource forecasting and estimated times to complete activities.<\/li>\n<li>Provide technical support to the project manager, lead engineer &amp; commissioning teams in managing project deliverables and variations.<\/li>\n<li>Provide Power Systems application support &amp; technical guidance to the commercial and site teams.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>Qualifications\/Requirements<\/p>\n<p><\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Sole British citizenship with a valid British Passport (\u201cUK Eyes only\u201d)<\/li>\n<li>Possession of or being capable of obtaining SC level security clearance.<\/li>\n<li>Minimum of a Bachelor\u2019s or Master\u2019s degree in a relevant subject, or relevant industrial experience.<\/li>\n<li>Have knowledge of Power Electronic Converter system integration, and associated EMC impact and mitigation strategies.<\/li>\n<li>Willing to travel within UK and overseas for short-term working.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>Nice To Have<\/p>\n<p><\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Working towards or hold a CEng qualification (or strong interest).<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>You Can Expect From Us<\/p>\n<p><\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Challenging and rewarding projects.<\/li>\n<li>A work environment where we understand that not everyone has the same expectations about their jobs, careers and work-life balance and we are happy to discuss flexibility requirements.<\/li>\n<li>Attractive compensation.<\/li>\n<li>Flexible benefits so you can build a package that fits your personal needs.
