Testing and certification specialist\u00a0HCT<\/a>\u00a0has opened what it describes as South Korea’s largest dedicated automotive electromagnetic compatibility (EMC) testing operation, officially launching its new “M-Solution Center” on May 26. The facility is purpose-built to handle the high-voltage electrical components that power electric vehicles and autonomous driving systems.<\/p>


With the new center online, HCT’s combined infrastructure now spans nine EMC chambers \u2014 including six specialized high-voltage units \u2014 alongside five shielded rooms. The company says the expanded capacity gives it a solid base to handle large-scale orders from major global automakers and Tier-1 suppliers, and it expects its automotive division to significantly outperform last year’s results.<\/p>

The timing is deliberate. As the auto industry accelerates toward electrification, autonomous driving, and software-defined vehicles, rigorous EMC verification of high-voltage components has shifted from a nice-to-have to a baseline requirement for both safety and performance.<\/p>

HCT also plans to use the M-Solution Center to deepen its environmental reliability testing capabilities. By offering EMC and reliability assessments under one roof, the company aims to give clients a “one-stop” option that trims development timelines and reduces certification risk.<\/p>

HCT operates across high-tech sectors including ICT, automotive, batteries, and aerospace. Since 2017 it has served as a designated testing lab for South Korea’s three major automakers, and it holds qualification as an official EMC testing laboratory for Stellantis, one of the world’s largest automotive groups.<\/p>
