The addition to FORCE Technology\u2019s EMC Field Solutions portfolio combines deployable flexibility with the company\u2019s military EMC capabilities, including MIL-STD-461, NEMP and lightning testing. Delivered with an EMC specialist team, the facility is designed for situations where time, logistics and operational readiness are important.<\/p><p>Electronic warfare is playing an increasing role on today\u2019s battlefield. Techniques such as jamming can disable equipment or allow adversaries to take control of it.<\/p><p>\u201cTo address that challenge and speed up European defence innovation, we have created a mobile, military-grade EMC test facility that can be delivered directly to the customer and begin testing within 48 hours\u201d, explained Lars Hedemann Hilligs\u00f8e, Executive Vice President, Compliance &amp; Product Testing at FORCE Technology.<\/p><p>Designed for Large and Security-Restricted Products<\/p><p>According to FORCE Technology, new defence products need to be tested for potential weaknesses in an EMC test facility. Transportation requirements and export license restrictions can present challenges, while larger weapon systems such as tanks, helicopters and combat fighter jets may exceed the size or weight limitations of fixed EMC test facilities.<\/p><p>\u201cWhen defence systems are large, complex or highly security-restricted, moving them to a traditional test facility can become a logistical challenge \u2013 and cause unwanted delays\u201d, continued Lars Hedemann Hilligs\u00f8e.<\/p><p>Mobile Testing Capability<\/p><p>FORCE Technology said the mobile facility is designed to be fully mobile with fast deployment and setup, scalable modularity and configurations adjusted to customer requirements.<\/p><p>\u201cThe mobile, military-grade EMC test facility has to be truly flexible \u2013 that is, completely mobile, with fast deployment and setup, scalable modularity, and adjusted to the customer\u2019s special needs.
