As an accredited Technical Service in the field of electromagnetic compatibility, Applus+ IDIADA is already prepared to help manufacturers certify their vehicles and components with these new requirements.<\/p><h2><strong>Main Updates in Series 07<\/strong><\/h2><p>The series 07 of amendments introduces important updates compared to the previous version, including:<\/p><p><strong>New Technical Definitions<\/strong><\/p><ul><li>Automated Driving System (ADS) and Dynamic Driving Task (DDT)<\/li><li>Residential and non-residential environments<\/li><li>Acoustic Vehicle Alerting System (AVAS)<\/li><li>Accident Emergency Call Systems (AECS)<\/li><\/ul><p><strong>Requirements for ADS<\/strong>\u00a0ensuring that vehicles remain in a safe mode during electromagnetic immunity tests.<\/p><p><strong>Differentiation between residential and non-residential environments<\/strong>. The new amendment establishes specific limits for conducted radio frequency emissions according to the environment type, providing greater flexibility to heavy vehicles and buses that operate primarily in non-residential environments.<\/p><p><strong>Updated failure criteria<\/strong>\u00a0for different vehicle systems and functions, including specific requirements for AECS and AVAS systems.<\/p><p><strong>Enhanced test procedures<\/strong>\u00a0for various charging modes of electric and hybrid vehicles<\/p><h2><strong>Transitional Provisions<\/strong><\/h2><p>The transitional provisions include an extensive adaptation period:<\/p><ul><li>From September 1, 2029, Contracting Parties may refuse approvals according to previous series issued after that date<\/li><li>Approvals according to series 06 issued before September 1, 2029, will continue to be accepted<\/li><li>Contracting Parties will continue to accept series 06 approvals for vehicles, systems, or components not affected by changes in series 07<\/li><\/ul><h2><strong>Implications for Manufacturers<\/strong><\/h2><p>Vehicle and component manufacturers will need to adapt their homologation processes to comply with these new requirements.
