This includes complete vehicles, sub assemblies, components or sub systems. PTL has completed various EMC \/ EMI tests for its clients ranging from engineering tests to full compliance testing for large systems.<\/p><p>Susceptibility Requirements<\/p><p>Because a vehicle and its components can be exposed to varying amounts of EMC noise, the compliance requirements are stringent. Susceptibility testing asks for as much as 100V\/m across the testing band for radiated tests. Conducted Emissions and Conducted Susceptibility scans expand well beyond what is needed for commercial EMC testing.<\/p><p>Test Standards<\/p><p>CISPR 25 is the most common and accepted standard for emissions testing in the automotive industry. If the vehicle is used for Defence applications MIL STD 461 also applies in addition to generic Automotive EMC. Some of the limits in MIL STD are much harsher compared to regular automotive testing. Other standards: ISO 10605 &#8211; ESD, ISO 11452-4 &#8211; Bulk Current Injection, ISO 11452-2 &#8211; Absorber Lined Shielded Enclosure Testing, and Conducted and Radiated Emissions per CISPR 25.<\/p><p>EV and ICE Testing<\/p><p>EV product standards are more recent and because of the nature of the technology testing is rigorous.
