It is with great pleasure, on behalf of the organizing committee, that I welcome you all to EMC & CI 2026, taking place in the distinguished and historic city of Oxford.

Famed for its centuries-old university, Oxford is a city where tradition and innovation coexist in perfect harmony. Its skyline of dreaming spires, iconic college quadrangles, and cobbled lanes reflect a legacy of scholarship and discovery that has shaped generations. Among its many treasures are the Bodleian Library, a guardian of knowledge since the 15th century, the graceful Radcliffe Camera, and the majestic Christ Church, whose grandeur has inspired artists, thinkers, and filmmakers alike. Visitors can explore the city’s world-class museums, the Ashmolean, the Museum of Natural History, and the Pitt Rivers Museum, or unwind with a walk through its riverside meadows, a quiet punt along the Cherwell, or a visit to one of its charming cafés and historic pubs. Oxford is a place that invites curiosity, reflection, and connection, an ideal setting for our gathering.

This year, EMC & CI 2026 will bring together a very diverse community of engineers, industry professionals and researchers to explore the latest advances and challenges in electromagnetic compatibility and interference. It will blend in the same event and location both a practical training course and a technical and scientific conference. Over the three days, participants will have the opportunity to upscale in a research and development environment, engage in thought-provoking discussions, share pioneering research, and exchange insights on emerging technologies. The technical and scientific programme features papers and presentations on current trends, and in-depth technical tutorials and workshops designed to foster dialogue and collaboration across disciplines.

More than simply combining training course and conference, EMC & CI 2026 aims to be a meeting of minds, a space for innovation, cooperation, and inspiration. It is also a chance to renew professional friendships, establish new connections, and enjoy the intellectual and cultural atmosphere that Oxford offers in abundance.

We look forward to welcoming you to Oxford and to sharing an enriching and memorable EMC & CI 2026 with you all.

Sincerely,
Dr. Marco Klingler
Chair, EMC & CI Oxford 2026
