About The Role
We are seeking a highly skilled Senior RF Design Engineer with strong analogue expertise to join our thriving engineering team. In this pivotal role, you will work on a diverse portfolio of complex projects ranging from radar systems and sensors to radio communication devices. The successful candidate will have the opportunity to contribute innovative ideas to solve real-world challenges, interacting closely with clients to understand their needs and deliver tailored solutions. This position offers a competitive salary package along with a hybrid working model, typically combining three days in the office with two days working remotely.
Qualifications
- A minimum of a 2.1 BEng or MEng degree in Electronic Engineering or a closely related field.
- Several years of post-graduate RF circuit design experience, ideally within a defense or related environment.
- Proven expertise in analogue, microwave, and RF design and simulation tools.
- Experience in developing products from initial conception through to manufacturing and deployment.
- Knowledge of radar systems, surveillance technologies, and sensors is highly advantageous.
- Strong leadership capabilities, with experience in leading projects and teams.
- Customer-facing experience with excellent communication skills.
- Exposure to open architecture standards such as OpenCPI, STICS, or SOSA is highly desirable.
Responsibilities
The Senior RF Electronics Engineer will play a key role within a multidisciplinary engineering team, taking responsibility for designing, developing, and validating RF and analogue circuits for complex systems. Your core responsibilities will include translating client requirements into technical specifications, creating detailed designs and simulations, and overseeing the development process from prototype to production. You will collaborate closely with clients to understand their technical needs and provide expert guidance throughout the project lifecycle.
You will also be involved in conducting rigorous testing and verification of RF systems, ensuring compliance with industry standards and project specifications. Mentoring junior engineers and contributing to continuous improvement initiatives within the team will be integral to your role. Additionally, maintaining up-to-date knowledge of emerging RF technologies and standards will help drive innovation within the company.
