KRYTAR, a leader in the design and production of ultra-broadband microwave components and test equipment, has launcehd a new Directional Coupler covering the frequency range from 1.7 to 26.5 GHz with Nominal Coupling of 13 dB. The new coupler provides solutions for emerging designs and test and measurement applications including wireless communications, radar and satellite communications (SATCOM). KRYTAR Directional Couplers offer the tightest specifications available on the market.
KRYTAR’s directional coupler, Model 2613, enhances the selection of multi-purpose, stripline designs that exhibit excellent coupling over a ultra-broadband frequency range of 1.7 to 26.5 GHz (L- through K-Bands) in a single, compact and lightweight package.
Model 2613 offers superior performance ratings including Nominal Coupling (with respect to output) of 13 dB, ±1.0 dB and Frequency Sensitivity of ±1.2 dB. The directional coupler exhibits Insertion Loss of <1.2 dB (includes coupled power) Directivity of >14 dB, Maximum VSWR 1.5 (any port), Input Power Rating is 20 W average and 3 kW peak. The directional coupler comes with industry-standard 3.5mm Female connectors. 3.5mm Male connector options are also available. The compact package measures just 2.40 inches (L) x 0.53 inches (W) x 0.69 inches (H), and weighs just 1.9 ounces. Operating temperature is -54° to +85° C.
KRYTAR Directional Couplers are designed for systems applications where external leveling, precise monitoring, signal mixing or swept transmission and reflection measurements are required. KRYTAR Directional Couplers offer excellent solutions for many ultra-broadband applications including electronic warfare (EW), mmWave, 6G, 5G NR (New Radio), Wi-Fi 6 and Wi-Fi 6E, SATCOM, radar, MIMO (Multiple-Input and Multiple-Output) radio links, signal monitoring and measurement, antenna beamforming, and EMC (electromagnetic compatibility) testing environments. The couplers can be also be manufactured to meet military specifications.
