Step into an international role as the new Product/Service Specialist for ULS’ EMC/Wireless products, where you’ll drive new business across the UK, Ireland, the Nordics, and Eastern Europe. Responsibilities

  • Drives business development activities and executes the sales strategy for ULS’ EMC/Wireless portfolio, building and maintaining strong relationships with new customers.
  • Develops and presents sales proposals, systems solutions and closes complex technical sales opportunities.
  • Engages with clients—both on-site and remotely—to understand technical needs, recommend the best-fit solutions, and promote UL’s testing, inspection, and certification (TIC) services.
  • Owns the full sales cycle from prospecting to closing, leveraging sales support and inside sales teams when needed.
  • Maintains regular follow-up with customers to support service renewals, strengthen long-term partnerships, and identify cross‑selling opportunities for specialized services.
  • Meets and qualifies new prospects from both inbound and outbound channels; understand their use cases, technical requirements, and purchasing processes to win new business.
  • Collaborates closely with technical experts and engineers whenever specialized knowledge is required to support proposals or customer discussions.
  • Brings in additional internal resources where beneficial for the sales process and hand off leads to our technical inside sales teams for highly complex or niche technical offerings.
  • Ensures a seamless handover to delivery teams after contract closure to secure an excellent customer experience and smooth implementation.

Qualifications

  • Engineering Degree would be ideal, particularly in Electrical or Electronics Engineering, or any discipline connected to EMC/Wireless.
  • A minimum of 5 years’ technical sales experience with EMC/Wireless solutions.
  • Proven ability to identify, develop, and manage new accounts.
  • Experience selling complex technical services—ideally TIC services within EMC, Wireless, or related technology areas.
  • Fluency in English is essential. Good knowledge of Scandinavian or Polish languages is nice to have.
  • Commercially minded with a proactive approach to identifying opportunities and proposing solutions.
  • Recognized as a product or service specialist by peers, customers, or industry leaders.
  • Availability to travel to customer sites (50–75% of working time).

Requirements As an RF Alignment Technician, you will be responsible for the precise tuning, alignment, calibration, and testing of RF, microwave and/or mmWave circuits, modules and subsystems, ensuring each unit meets performance specifications before release to production or delivery. You will bridge between design/engineering and production/test output, ensuring consistency, traceability and quality.

  • You will work closely with design, test engineers and production teams to set up and maintain RF test benches, align devices, verify performance, troubleshoot issues, and define improvements to test and alignment procedures
  • Configure and operate RF and microwave test benches, including signal sources, spectrum analysers, network analysers, power meters, and related instrumentation, to carry out system alignment, calibration, and testing
  • Perform alignment, tuning and optimisation of RF/mmWave circuits, subsystems and modules (e.g., amplifiers, filters, transmit/receive units, transceivers, etc.).
  • Conduct RF system testing: verify output power, frequency response, gain, noise, stability, spurious emissions, return loss, and other relevant RF parameters. Ensure actual performance meets expected design specifications and regulatory requirements.
  • Troubleshoot and debug issues arising during alignment or testing, including component-level or board-level failures, spurious behaviour, drift, stability or degradation.
  • Develop, document and refine alignment, calibration and test procedures / strategies. Recommend improvements to existing test and alignment processes, fixtures, and tooling to improve throughput, quality and consistency.
  • Assist in new product introduction (NPI) and help transition from design/prototype phase to production, taking part in handover, test bench setup, qualification, and validation.
  • Work collaboratively with mechanical, electronic, design and production engineers, project managers to resolve technical challenges and ensure manufacturability and testability.
  • Provide technical support to production and maintenance teams, including training, diagnostics and repair of test equipment and test benches when required.
  • Maintain accurate records of test results, alignment procedures, calibration logs, deviations, rework and corrective actions.

Job Description We are excited to be recruiting for an experienced Engineer with microwave engineering knowledge, familiar with working on complex electronic (ideally RF-based) sensor systems.

The role can be based in either Southampton or Bristol and will focus on the electronics design of the RF and control subsystems; to be implemented on laboratory and aircraft concept demonstrators.

You will provide technical support throughout the product lifecycle including design implementation, integration and test, system trials and product delivery.

You will be part of the Leonardo Airborne Communications product development group within the Integrated Sensing & Protection line of business; interacting with partner organisations / sub-contractors and potential customers.

Your Impact

  • You will be responsible for delivery of work packages focused on analogue and RF electronics, covering the inter vehicle data link design, system test and integration.
  • Modelling of proposed architectures to determine the optimal solution.

What We Are Looking For

  • Practical hands on experience of RF design of circuitry, ideally between DC and 30 GHz, but if you don’t have experience over this whole range then we’d still be interested to hear from you.
  • Experience of working with PCB layout personnel in an advisory capacity.
  • Hands on experience of using RF test and measurement equipment to develop and debug RF circuitry.
  • Ability to use RF and system modelling and simulation tools.

This site-based role will undertake EMC testing, specification, design and development work on various Air / Land and Sea projects at system and component level.

The successful applicant will also be key in supporting the Basildon EMC facility UKAS audit schedule and accreditation. Other duties include EMC test house and equipment maintenance duties.

About You Experience of UKAS audits and looking after the day to day running and capability enhancement and maintenance of an EMC test facility is essential.

  • EMC testing to standards (military, aviation and commercial).
  • EMC requirement generation from standards and legislation.
  • Customer EMC requirements analysis.
  • System level EMC design, development, and solution provision.
  • EMC Component selection.

Knowledge of TEMPEST test specifications, test procedures, and test set up is also highly desirable, however suitable candidates can look forward to TEMPEST training should they require this.

Your role

We are looking for a junior Test Engineer with experience in system‑level testing of RF systems, and previous exposure to Space or Defence industry. The role is suited to an Electronic / Telecommunications Engineer with strong hands‑on laboratory skills and familiarity with RF instrumentation.

In this role you will play a key role in:

  • Preparation and configuration of test facilities and test benches
  • Calibration and verification of rf test equipment
  • Execution of system‑level RF tests(functional, performance, etc),
  • Creation and maintenance of test plans, test reports and non‑conformance documentation
  • Performing first‑level quality inspectionof test specimens
  • Conducting initial fault isolation and troubleshooting at system and sub‑system level

Role Overview We are seeking a skilled Senior RF Test Engineer to join our growing development team in Cambridge, UK.

You will lead RF measurement, characterization, and validation of cutting-edge RF products, providing critical insight to design and systems teams to ensure strong correlation between simulation and hardware performance.

You will be responsible for defining and improving RF test methodologies, developing robust measurement infrastructure, and driving best practices across RF characterisation activities. You will be comfortable independently solve complex measurement challenges, guide test strategy, and contribute directly to delivering high-performance RF modules.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead RF characterisation and validation activities, conducting detailed measurements to evaluate and optimize product performance.
  • Design, develop, and maintain robust and repeatable RF test setups for the characterization of RF modules and systems.
  • Perform and analyse 3GPP-aligned RF measurements (LTE and/or NR) to assess transmitter and receiver performance.
  • Provide measurement-driven feedback to RF design and systems teams to ensure strong correlation between simulation, design expectations, and hardware performance.
  • Develop and maintain automated test frameworks and scripts to improve measurement efficiency, repeatability, and data integrity.
  • Define and uphold RF measurement methodologies, lab best practices, and documentation standards.
  • Troubleshoot complex RF measurement setups and hardware issues, supporting development and design reviews with measurement insights
  • Maintain the RF laboratory environment, including test infrastructure, equipment calibration, and measurement best practices.
